North Shore Masters Sprint Meet

North Shore Masters and NVRC successfully hosted the first masters swim meet in Canada since the Covid-19 lockdown on March 2, 2020. In all, there were 95 swimmers and 25 volunteers. People were very happy to be able to race again. Thanks to everyone for making this a memorable event once again. See 97 year old Betty Brussel finish her 50 metre Breast strongly after her 200 and 100 Free. Amazing! The meet results are here.

Keep Harry Jerome Open Campaign

Since the petition went online on September 1, 2021, more than 3100 people have signed.

This is very good progress but City council voted unanimously to close Harry Jerome at the end December at Monday’s council meeting.

The next step in the campaign will be a rally of all impacted users at Harry Jerome or North Vancouver City Hall tentatively scheduled for October 30. We will be looking for a big showing.

North Shore Masters Parkas

A few people have expressed interest in acquiring North Shore Masters parka. Prices have gone up a bit  since our last order. Details to follow when we determine the level of interest. In the meantime, we are going to collect expressions of interest and sizing information until October 31 for delivery by Christmas.

Virtual COHO Swim Results

Our participants included Larry, Mike, Ron and Nana. Ron, Larry and I did the Challenge event. Nana the 3000 swim. See results here

North Shore Masters Club Records

Several Team Records fell this weekend. Giselle, Scott and Greg set new standards. Team records have not been thoroughly reviewed since 2016. If you see a problem let us know and we will fix it.

Got to fly! No more crawling for me!
