Coho Swim – September 13, 2026 (Sign up by Friday for the best price and swag)
Follow this link to the registration page which gives you swim options and the early registration incentives. Registration is open now. You will notice that the prices get progressively higher and you miss out on the free event T-Shirt after July 31. I have found that they are great for running and wearing to the pool!
Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre Opening Celebration

My grandson, a friend and I attended the Opening Celebration. The facility is impressive! We only had a short time to see what we could and we look forward to coming back to use it when it opens.
New aquatic centre visit with my grandson and our friend

Our friend Cappy, the Capilano River Otter and pool completion prognosticator, tried to sneak a dip in the pool, s/he came out dry and was forced to declare no swimming at Harry Jerome for 6 more weeks. Anyone else have a prognostication?
Open Water Swim Season
Our swimmers have been busy competing and swimming in open water this summer. It seems that some are trying to swim in everything going (Lower mainland, Okanagan, Vancouver Island and even Alcatraz. There was a good turnout at Sasamat Lake. The majority seemed to want to swim the 4 K event. Here are the results:
- Catherine S – 2, Scott N – 4, Andrea D – 11, Chris H – 21, Steve D – 25, Ron D – 34, Karen L – 36, Jim P – 44, Mike D – 57 and Kathrin M 63
This pool is big enough to have a dedicated Fly lane!
